Terms & Conditions

Booking and payment

• A deposit of 20% is required to confirm the booking. The balance is due no later than 5 days prior to the charter date.
• Payment can be made via wire or credit card online. A card fee may occur.

Cancellation policy

• Cancellations made more than 2 days before the charter date receive a full refund minus a 20% cancellation fee.
• Cancellations made less than 2 days before the charter date are non-refundable.

Safety and compliance

• All guests must comply with safety instructions and regulations provided by the crew.
• Life jackets and safety equipment must be used as instructed.
• The captain has the right to modify the itinerary for safety reasons.

Drug and alcohol policy

• The possession, use, importation or trade of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on Bonaire. Violation will result in immediate termination of the charter without refund and potential legal action.
• Responsible alcohol consumption is permitted for guests of legal drinking age.

Liability

• The company is not liable for any personal injuries or losses during the charter. Guests are advised to have personal insurance.
• Damages to the vessel or equipment caused by guests will be charged to the guest responsible.
• A liability waiver must be signed prior to boarding.
• All adult guests must be fit to swim. Minors must be supervised by their parent or guardian on board.

Weather conditions

• In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the company reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the charter for safety reasons.
• If the charter is cancelled by the company due to weather, guests may reschedule or receive a full refund.

Conduct and behaviour

• Guests are expected to behave respectfully and considerately at all times.
• The captain reserves the right to disembark any guest(s) whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive, without refund.

Environmental policy

• Guests must adhere to eco-friendly practices while on board, including proper disposal of waste and not disturbing marine life.
• Use of environmentally harmful substances is prohibited.

Privacy and media

• Photographs or videos taken by crew may be used for promotional purposes unless guests specifically request otherwise. Media will only be used on Bonaire Yacht Charters' official channels or through "Maxim Bonaire".
• Guests' personal information is kept confidential and not shared without consent. GDPR regulations are respected.

Additional charges

• Hourly rate for any time spent on board after the stipulated time: $50.
• Marina charges (other than home marina berth) when chartered overnight.
• Any damages caused to the boat will be reported and charged to the guest.
• Harmful behaviour towards crew or use of illegal substances is met with a zero-tolerance policy; we reserve the right to report to the authorities.
