Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before your day on the water.

Where do the charters depart from?

All charters depart from Van der Valk Plaza Beach & Dive Resort, J. A. Abraham Boulevard 80, Kralendijk — just minutes from Flamingo International Airport and the centre of Kralendijk.

What's included on board?

Our private charters include snorkel equipment, towels, cold drinks and freshly prepared food, with a professional crew to guide you. Exact inclusions vary by experience — you'll find the full list on each tour's booking page.

Do I need to pay the Bonaire Nature Fee?

Yes. Entering the water in the Bonaire National Marine Park requires the Bonaire Nature Fee. Buy it in advance at infobonaire.com for unlimited access during the year.

Can I bring my own sunscreen?

Only reef-safe sunscreen is allowed in the marine park — standard formulas contain chemicals that damage coral. Please bring a reef-safe alternative; they're also available locally.

How do I book and pay?

Choose an experience on our Book & pay page, pick your date and pay securely online — you'll get instant confirmation via our secure QR checkout. Prefer to chat first? Message us on WhatsApp or email bookings@bonaireyachtcharters.com.

What's the difference between a shared and a private charter?

Shared tours are booked per person and run with a small group — a relaxed, social way to sail and snorkel. Private charters give you the whole boat for your group, with a fully customizable itinerary, ideal for families, friends and special occasions.

Are the trips suitable for children and non-swimmers?

Absolutely. Many of our experiences are great for families, and the crew is there to help. Snorkeling is optional and we carry flotation aids — just let us know your group when booking so we can tailor the day.

What should I bring?

Reef-safe sunscreen, a rashguard, a towel (provided on private charters), and your Bonaire Nature Fee. A waterproof camera or GoPro is a great idea for Klein Bonaire.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Your safety comes first. If conditions aren't suitable we'll contact you to reschedule or arrange a refund. Get in touch any time if you're unsure ahead of your trip.
